Matt and I attended our first ever prepared childbirth class last night at Turner Center with Cox. It was a class to educate us on what to expect for childbirth before and after labor. It was an eye opening class. In the class we were able to watch 3 live births and I got emotional after every one. It was pretty amazing. The pain looks terrible leading up to delivery, but delivering a human being is beyond spectacular. Matt and I enjoyed ourselves and we even went through breathing and massage techniques for contractions. We have another class next Thursday and that will be the end of the childbirth classes.

I am starting to feel a little better with my round ligament pain. I decided to take Tylenol to deal with the pain and it makes a world of difference. I am also gradually adding walking everyday with stretching after and that seems to help some. Everyday there is a new challenge and different feeling so I will adapt daily to stay healthy and pain free.

Something I have noticed lately with my pregnancy is intense dry skin. My skin is shedding and scaly and even putting on lotion doesn’t seem to help. I am sure it’s a hormone change, but I look and feel like an alligator coat. That’s honestly the least of my worries just thought I would mention the dryness of my skin this week.

I look forward to my CrossFit class tonight when I do not have to scale anything in the workout. It brings a little more competitiveness out in me, but I love and need that once a week or two ;). Today’s workout consists of 2 rounds 30 wallballs, 30 jumping pull-ups, 30 alternating DB snatches @ 55 lbs, 60 air squats. It’s going to be difficult, but I cannot wait until 5pm.
