I had a wonderful day that started with taking my dog, Rocky to the groomers, which is in Ozark. After that I decided to go to Starbucks and grab a coffee and read some of my book, “For the Love” by Jen Hatmaker. I highly recommend this book. It was such a lovely morning. At around 10 am I headed to the Crossfit gym where I had the luxury of talking with so many moms. These moms at my gym are extraordinary. They have 2+ children, are in shape, working moms that take time to stay fit and healthy. I want to be like the moms at CrossFit 417. They give me helpful advice and are inspirational because they look amazing, have beautiful children, and love being a mom. I am going to be able to fit into another category and I am beginning to look forward to what momville has in store for me. They gave me a burst of encouragement and excitement to carrying and delivering a baby. It has been awhile I have felt excited about having a baby, but today I got excited and continue to feel blessed.
I am beginning to feel my abs start to separate and the lower abs begin to loosen and my uterus is growing. It’s a strange sensation because of the intense pressure I feel on my lower abs. I want to hold the bottom of my stomach and bend over when I walk. I have been on a search for bellybands, but I guess I have to order online. Walmart and Target no longer carry them. Oh well I will have one at my house in the next few days. This pressure is so heavy.
My workout was great today! I did 100 double Unders, 50 burpees, 40 Toes 2 bar, 30 One Arm Dumbbell Snatch 55 lbs, 90 ft walking lunge with 55lb DB. I worked out by myself, but it felt good to sweat and train. I also did 20 minutes of Stretching and 4 x 10 Front squats @ 125 lbs with a 1 min rest. Squatting is getting more difficult, but I will continue to do them even if I can only do air squats. My body is shifting and moving around quite a bit I have noticed. I have read that my body is going to get quite large in the next two weeks. When I mention that I mean it’s going to be much more drastic than the first 19 weeks.
I had the opportunity to spend the day with a couple of girls and we had a lunch date and did some shopping together! I love my girl time. I still get fatigued and exhausted, but I think most women do at 3:00 pm in the afternoon. I came home and took a 20 minute nap and feel much better.
I cannot stop thinking about these moms that reach out to me daily at the CrossFit gym. I want to be a mom like them. These women are tough mentally and physically and I want “mom strength.” I never thought those words would ever come out of my mouth, but I am more proud and humble to fit in with the mom crowd.
